Thor Knutzen Memorial Scholarship

 Each year, the Skagit Livestock Market Sale Committee awards a graduating 4-H and FFA members a scholarship in memory of Thor  Knutzen. Thor was a 5th Generation Skagit County farmer. He  loved to work on the farm with his dad, grandpas, and uncles. Thor was a  member of the Her-Ang-Dus 4-H Club and Burlington-Edison FFA. He loved  showing his cattle at the Skagit County Fair  and attending the state livestock judging competition in Puyallup. Thor had a rare form of muscle dystrophy. His disabilities never stopped him from being active in  4-H and FFA.   His accomplishments were  made possible by a wonderful support network of family, friends, and community.
